Protecting Taxpayer Investments
To help protect taxpayer investments in our school buildings, all schools built new or new-in-lieu since 1994 are required to be inspected as part of the Asset Preservation Program. This program reviews:
• Foundations/Building Drainage
• Exterior Walls
• Interior Construction
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Electrical
• Fire Protection
• Safety/Security
This year, all of our elementary and secondary buildings built since 1994 earned over 90%. This puts them towards the top end of the “Good” category (buildings rated 80–99%) that only require regular preventative maintenance.
Each year our Facilities Department is required to report to the School Board about the Building Condition Assessment results. This year’s report was made on March 26, 2019.
